2023 January Newsletter
Forgive the lack of communication these last few weeks…first it was getting ready time for Vicki’s trip to the States (May 24-June 24th) as well as get things set up in our home for temporary living with the Marks family that came back with Vicki. Now that month has come and gone, and we excitedly begin this new chapter in our lives as we start the training/mentor program with Jonathan and Heather Marks and their dear family: Nathan, Anna, Joshua, and Abigail (after all their birthdays finish in August they will be 2, 4, 6, and 8). But first a glimpse of Vicki’s time in the States!! Beings the Marks also live in the Atlanta area, Vicki stayed our daughter Alicia’s about an hour from the Marks. She was quickly caught up in the swing of the schedule for the month which included a 3 day trip to North Carolina to be with Joshua’s older brother and family, a trip to another area of Georgia for a weekend as the Appels looked into a possible ministry, a 5 day gathering of Richard and family as well as Great Grandma Coats at the Appels and two birthday celebrations with Appel grandchildren, Jason at the first of the month and Alyssia’s the day before Vicki left. She also spent one evening at the Marks’ home church VBS participating in their Japanese themed week and then two days with the Marks and their home church as they had their commissioning service and then helped them pack for the move here.
